Service description
review.fun is an AI-powered academic paper review service. You upload a PDF of your paper — through our website or our Chrome extension — and receive automated feedback generated by a large language model. The service is provided on a pay-per-use basis.
Account responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not share your account or use the service on behalf of others without their permission. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
Payment terms
New accounts may receive complimentary review credits as displayed at signup. After that, reviews are charged at the rate displayed at checkout. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law. We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time; changes will apply to future purchases only.
Intellectual property
You retain all rights to the papers you upload. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of generating your review. Generated reviews are provided for your personal use. The review.fun name, logo, and service are our property and may not be used without permission.
AI-generated content disclaimer
Reviews are generated by an AI model and are not a substitute for professional peer review. The feedback may contain inaccuracies, miss important issues, or reflect biases present in the model's training data. You should treat AI reviews as one input among many when revising your work. review.fun makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or usefulness of any generated review. You assume full responsibility for any decisions or actions taken based on AI-generated content.
Browser extension
The review.fun Browser extension is an optional companion to the web service. It allows you to submit PDFs for review directly from your browser tab. Use of the extension is subject to these same Terms of Service. Reviews submitted through the extension use your account credits in the same way as web uploads.
Acceptable use
You may only upload content you have the right to share. Do not use the service to process material that you are not authorized to share with third parties. You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the service, or use automated means to access it in a manner that exceeds reasonable use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service, at our sole discretion.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless review.fun, its operators, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, review.fun and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to decisions made based on AI-generated feedback. Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users or the service. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Any unused credits are forfeited upon account termination except as required by applicable law.
Governing law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or the service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically. For material changes, we may also provide additional notice at our discretion (such as a banner on the site).
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Entire agreement
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and review.fun regarding your use of the service and supersede any prior agreements, communications, or understandings, whether written or oral.
