How it works

Upload a PDF of your academic paper and review.fun will generate sharp, human-style peer review feedback in under a minute. The AI reads your full paper and returns a brief summary plus focused comments — the kind of critical points a real reviewer would raise. It works with any discipline: CS, biology, medicine, economics, and more.

Venue tiers

When you submit a paper you choose a target venue tier. This tells the AI how strict to be:

• Top-tier — Strictest review, benchmarked to venues like Nature, ICML, and NeurIPS. Expects novelty, rigour, and polish.
• Strong — Solid conference or journal level. Expects a clear contribution and sound methodology.
• Standard — Lighter review focused on soundness and clarity. Good for early drafts or workshop papers.

Credits & pricing

New accounts get 10 free reviews — no credit card required. After that, reviews cost $1 per credit. Each credit covers up to 10 pages; longer papers use more credits (e.g. a 23-page paper costs 3 credits). Bulk discounts available: 25 credits for $18 (28% off) or 50 credits for $30 (40% off).

Chrome extension

The optional Chrome extension lets you review papers without leaving your browser. If you don't have an account yet, head to review.fun/signup to create one first.

Getting started

1. Install the review.fun extension from the Chrome Web Store.
2. Click the extension icon and sign in with your email and password.
3. Open any PDF in your browser and click the extension icon again.
4. Choose a venue tier, hit Review this paper, and your review will appear in seconds — automatically copied to your clipboard.

Reviews from the extension use the same credits as web uploads.

Signed up with Google?

The extension doesn't support Google sign-in yet. Instead, you can sign in with an API token:

1. Sign in to the web app and go to your Account page.
2. Under API Token, click Generate token and copy it.
3. In the extension sign-in screen, click Paste an API token, paste your token, and click Validate token.

Keep your token private — anyone who has it can use your credits. You can regenerate it at any time from the Account page, which immediately invalidates the old one.

Privacy & your paper

Your uploaded PDF is processed in memory and discarded immediately — we never store your paper or the generated review on our servers. Once you leave the review page, the feedback is gone. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
